The Cockshutt 1655 is actually an Oliver built tractor. They used the Waukesha 6 cylinder engine with a displacement of 283 cubic inches. The 1655 was rated at 60 hp. The transmission was called "Hydraul -shift ", which gave the operator the choice of shifting into gears higher or lower without clutching. This meant the operator had 18 forward and 3 reverse gears.
