Cockshutt 1655

The Cockshutt 1655 is actually an Oliver built tractor. They used the Waukesha 6 cylinder engine with a displacement of 283 cubic inches. The 1655 was rated at 60 hp. The transmission was called "Hydraul -shift ", which gave the operator the choice of shifting into gears higher or lower without clutching. This meant the operator had 18 forward and 3 reverse gears. The 1655 was available in gas or diesel. It was built from 1969 till 1975 with a price tag of $10,000.  4X4 MFWD was available. The 1655 replaced the 1650. We purchased our 1655 at Warren ,Manitoba. It is the wheatland model .  The cab was removed when we got it home. Out tractors serial # 233 423 494 making it a 1972 model.
