International W 400

The W400 was built in 1955 and 1956. It evolved from the Super W6 and the W450 replaced it in 1957. The price tag in 1956 was $3400. There were 2070 gas/lp W400 tractors built. The 4 cylinder gas engine had 264 cubic inches and produced 47 hp. We have two W400 tractors in our collection. #801 came from close to home, Pilot Mound and we drove it home. It is the more deluxe tractor as it has factory hydraulics , large over the tire fenders as well as dust shields. The other  W400,#1206 came from Holland. The previous owner added after market hydraulics and the tractor came with smaller clam shell fenders. Both tractors were built in 1955.
