John Deere 730 Row crop diesel
The 730 replaced the 720. It was built as a row-crop, standard, and high crop. They offered gasoline, Lp gas and diesel engines. Also offered were the choice of 24 volt electric start or pony motor start. The 2 cylinder engine had a displacement of 376 cubic inches and produced 53 hp. They were built in 1958, 1959 and 1960 , when the " New Generation" tractors replaced the two cylinder tractors. The 730 was John Deere's largest row crop tractor. Our 730 is an electric start model with the factory wide front axle. The serial number is #7311502 and was built in 1959. We bought it at Walhala N.D.
