John Deere "GM"

From 1942 till 1947 the "G" was produced as a "GM"- "G"modernized.  The "GM" designation was created to receive Governmental approval for a war - time price increase. The "GM" has the narrow front, spring seat and electic starter. The serial number on our tractor is # 16797 making it a 1946 model. It came from Edmonton , Alberta.
