Cockshutt 40 gas

The Cockshutt 40 was built from 1949 till 1958. This gasoline engine had the Buda 6 cylinder engine which was rated at 38 hp. In 1950 Cockshutt offered this Buda engine in a diesel model. Later Lp gas engine was offered. By 1955 a Perkins 4 cylinder diesel  model was being built. The Cockshutt 40 was also marketed and sold as  the "Co-op E 4 ". The serial number on our tractor is # 9667 , made in 1952. It came from Saskatchewan.
